A Little Bit About Me

Writing has been part of each step of my life, yet I am late to fiction writing. Along my journey I have studied philosophy and politics, been a delegate to a national political convention, a photojournalist, an auto parts delivery driver, a policy analyst, saved a Carnegie library, chaired a statewide environmental organization, practiced law, and raised seven rescue pups.

Yes. I do believe in dragons. Not the ridiculous, angry, fire-breathing kind, but the intelligent kind who understand their role as a species who lives in harmony with all other species. Humans have gotten dragons all wrong.

Nature is my lifeline, my refuge, my inspiration, and I hope my writing will bring us all closer to nature, to appreciate and cherish the wonder all around us, the wonder we so often take for granted and forget to notice, forget to honor.

Walk along a sandy beach; atop the earth through the green grass or autumn leaves; through a stream over slick, river-smoothed rock; or just lean back and watch the clouds roll across the blue sky or the shimmering stars glide around the darkened earth. Then breathe deeply of the amazing beauty and wonder of it all.

Thank you for being here.
